I call it the brain tube, I've been telling her the more time she spends on it, the smarter it's going to make her.
Hey DOG, I can't give you any particulars on the lake other than to say our older daughter and her husband really enjoyed going there when they had their boat.

i've been once and loved the water. school house seemed fine, but no lake access. it's a quick drive down the road to launch. make sure you do not leave valuables in your cars, they have had some problems. the lake isn't THAT big honestly, depending on what you are used to? I use it to relax and just enjoy the nice water. I haven't been up this year, but really hope to go soon. check out some threads on wakeworld forums as those guys go a lot.
Iv heard its very nice just lake acsess blows!
As far as running around..probably drag the lil ones on the tube and a lil putting around just to check it out...we boat berryessa a lot hows bullards size up?

Been going to bullards for about 12 years.Mini shasta with sandy beaches and really cool aqua colored water. It used to be really quiet but it is starting to become a little busy on the weekends.165 miles of shoreline and a few cool waterfalls. Enjoy
Great Lake, even better during the week.
Do's: Have all your safety / required gear, they check!!, Have a good time.
Don'ts: keep it cool in the campgrounds ( noise, party'n ect. )
also, some have had problems in the past riding in thier boats on the ROADS, ( from the campgrounds to the ramp ) and not in the tow vehicle. ( I know it sounds crazy )
Hope all are safe, and have a good time. WELCOME to the greater Nor Cal. area.
Been coming here since the "New" dam was built, over 30 years...its been real hard to watch the lake get over crowded and basically discovered. The old T shirts available at the marina said, " best water on the planet",
and it was no lie til about 10 years ago. Weekends suck, yesterday was amazing...please don't tell your friends what an awesome place this is !
Been here since last Wednesday and don't want to leave.
Been going there since I was a kid, great lake but like everyone said before, it's a shame it's been discovered. Not a very big lake for a fast boat but it's great camping. We've been camping every year for over 20 years at Garden Point across the lake. Nothing like friends, family and boats to make the summer more fun!
garden point is where we stay.i normally tell people bullards is not that great. lets keep it a secret.
...awsome lil lake...thanks for all the info guys spent both days. Dragging the kids around on the tube..feeding the carps at the dam.hung out at a little water fall.had a eagle cruise along the shore line while going up the long arm.soaked in the lake till sundown, fished for a few, then back to the peice n quite of the campground. Very nice place hope it stays that way!!

Incredible lake... The dam is huge...... I'm born and raised on that lake..(and in my 40's). My parents used to carry many props due to all the debris from creating the new dam.. You can see the old one on a depth guage if you have one... Going while the lake is full gives you a chance to get all the way up the long arm and is a great time... Search out the diversion tunnel is also a must when the lake drops a bit......
