Default went to the river today

Well i went to the river yesterday and every thing fell apart on me,first the sterring was backwards so i thought well i'll test the boat out and just try it,NOT AS EASY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE,and then i noticed that i had a ton of water in the boat frfom when i would let off the gas it would rush to the front so i headed back to the ramp and as i started to haula## back the boat stalled and then veared towards the shore and not really slowing down and then i started to pry and hope not to end up on thr rocks.and BAM i road up on the mud right next to the rocks and the logs and trees on the other side,it looked like the boat was on a trailer and there was only ankle deep water under the pump so i got out and pushed the boat back out in to the river, and checked everything out i got the boat to fire-up and put it back on the trailer and then after looking at the motor i found that the freeze plug had rusted through and was pouring water in to the boat and at the same time the cable seals were leaking water in and the sterring tube was leaking water in and no to meantion the backwards stering so i had a whole new list of problems. LOL

SO TODAY I HEADEDBACK OUT and everything was great and working so i tryed testing it all over again and, well every worked perfect woho. so here are so pics i also have a vedio but i can get it to upload

    Default water pressure

so i did all these upgrades and changes so i decided after talking to a freind that i might be puting to much pressure(water) to the motor so i put a guage on it to day and i noticed it put out way to much pressure so i turned the gate vavle down a bit

MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS THE IDEAL PRESSURE FOR THE MOTOR,i know that a car operates on a 12-14 psi so what about in a boat??? thanks for any input

I think that friend told you right. Think about what a radiator cap is rated for.

Next time you go out I'll go and watch from the shore. I'll bring my camera too and take a video.
