    Default Lake Berryessa question

What water level is considered "too low" for good boating at Lake Berryessa?

I guess it's around 414-415 right now, out of a maximum 440...does that sound right?

fwiw - I have some business up in that area in the next week or two and was going to fly-in....but just trying to decide if it would be worth driving with the boat instead. It would be a long haul, almost 8 hours towing, so I wouldn't want to do it unless the lake was in good shape for boating..

    Thanks!

just spent 2 weeks there (got back sunday), never too low. huge lake most stuff is marked. enjoy. going back in 2 weeks for another 5 days. lake was awesome. Gas was 450, not bad considering, no stores or gas at the north end. only markley and pleasure cove have gas/ice.

It would have to be either Napa or Vacaville. They're both right at 20 miles away but the drive from Vacaville to Berryessa is a lot easier then from Napa.

Assume there's a launch ramp on the Vacaville side of the lake?
Where's the hang-out section...Is that on the North End by the bridge?

    Default Berryessa

Under the bridge. Always make a stop there, may not be the place I hang out all day at though.

Where is a good place to launch a 26' footer? Haven't been up there since the BLM cluster FK.

Steele park is the best for larger boats. Water level is just fine,I was there the last three weeks in a row and probably be there Sunday.
