Default South Lake Tahoe Launch Ramps?

Does anyone know, since the water level is well over normal this year, if some of the closed ramps will open up this summer? I was thinking specifically of the El Dorado ramp. Their web site still says that it is closed due to "low water level."

We'll be launching a 25' performance boat on a tandem trailer and staying in South Lake Tahoe.

I would think that it is open now because the lake is just a little over a foot away from it's highest level allowed. This website has some good info on lake levels and ramps. www.boattahoe.com

daMoose - Thanks for the info. They sure know how to schedule construction projects, don't they? I heard Lakeside is in the same general area and open to the public. Didn't know Camp Richardson was a public ramp (yes, it IS a sand trap).

If Lakeside doesn't work out, I may be better off going to Meeks on the West shore rather than deal with the zoo at Cave Rock. Got robbed last year launching at the Keys. Never again.

Get ready to bend over for the inspection your going to need. I don't have a problem with attempting to stop the spread of an invasious species, what I do have a problem with is those high and mighty pricks running the TRPA trying to make a buck off of it, more like TOO many bucks off it.
