    update, the shock towers are removed, prepping for the new cross member



    decided to replace the rocker panel also, after this decided to replace the whole rocker panel.

    Nice!!

    Looks like a serious undertaking! You probably know this but just in case you don't make sure to check the cowl vent area for rust. Very common to get water in the interior through there.

    I have heard about the vents, yes they will be getting checked, I am installing a 390 back in it, it is a original s-code car from the factory with a C-6 Automatic in it.

    more updates, replaced the Radiator support,

    not happy with the replacement support, so now looking for a nos one, here's the top of the new one I got

    looked like someone beat it with a hammer, so it goes back.

    I just saw this again, I cannot take the credit for the welding of the kit, having it done, I cannot weld good enough to trust myself with the front end, as far as paint, well, we will see how that goes, it should be back in my shop in a couple of weeks, then the rest of the suspension gets mocked up along with mocking up the engine and trans to see if anything needs to be adjusted.
