Default Just a cute litte story

As many of you know I've had my motor out for most of the winter doing some pump work and giving everything a good once over before summer.

Well since its been getting warmer I've had my baby girl out in the shop with me some, she loves the jet boat. Usually I set her in the drivers seat and she works the place diverter handle and turns the steering wheel while I'm tinkering with the motor or cleaning. I give her a few wrenches and she "works" on stuff with daddy. jetboat and 9/16th are her favorite words.

Yesterday afternoon when I got home from work she was running around the house saying "jetboat jetboat" and I asked her if she want to go work on the boat with me and she immediatly runs and gets her shoes.

So we go out and I sit her up in the drivers seat and give her the 9/16 and I begin to pick up a few tools and put them away. Well shes talking away and "working" on my place diverter handle, well she starts saying " no keys, no keys" and "wont start, wont start" and I dont think much of it. Then the motor cranks and lights off and dies. I have to say it took me off guard, well I turn around and her eyes are as big as pie plates! So I picked her up, I thought she was going to start crying, but she said "what happened?" and I said what did you do? She replies "I fix it daddy" and crawls back into the drivers seat.......I almost died laughing. It was priceless.

I turned the battery off and she went back to driving her jetboat.

    Default Good deal

Good story way to get her used to it while she's young. Keep an eye on her wrench work I've heard of gauge faces getting cracked and paint scratched.

I'm just happy she likes the boat. When my other 2 girls were that age I was to poor to have anything. And when their mother and I divorced, they took up her hobbies.

This one is daddy's second chance
