We were thoroughly disappointed in regards to the Tulsa Boat-Show this weekend, 2012.
The show was very bland, not much to see in the way Hi-Perf or aftermarket application. I did not see any true house-boats or go-fasts. The show consisted of 'toons, deep-v family boats, wake-play boats & bass-boats. No Allisons or god V-Pad bass hulls to be found; a few nice Rangers if you like a dry ride. Formula had a few cabin/day-cruisers that were about as exotic as it got.
There were a fair amount of nice Travel-Trailers & Motor-Homes though. Never the less, major disappointment. Heck the only "different" foot w/ something other than a vertical leading edge to be seen was the Yammy w/ a crescent & coned, LWPU. Not a thing from Merc... Hadn’t been in a couple years, was hoping for a little eye-candy at least! -- Nuthin'
Patiently awaiting the coming warmth, can't get here soon enough; need ADRENALINE!!!
Yeah as far as boats go, theres nothing there for me. I do like to go check out the RV's. I dont have any money but a guy can dream lol. Its fun to get the family out and do something though.
I have only been to the Tulsa boat show 2 or 3 times in 50 + years the first time I went was the only time I saw any HP boats like we have. I will not waste the gas to go back. Its a shame but thats how it is. Tulsa show is a joke in my openion.
