    Default Classic Outboard Pictures

Here's a few of my dad's 15' PowerCat with dual 115 inline 6 Mercs. The boat was clocked in the 1/4 at 71 mph!

My dad's 1977 Avenger 17' 3" with 225 Merc Black Max. Started with a 200 Black Max, and after blowing up 2 of them, Mercury upgraded him with the 225 when they came out with it in 1980. It was the first 225 on the West Coast. The boat ran 73 on radar, and beat more 80 mph jet boats than you could imagine!

In 77 the 200hp was actually only 175hp at the prop. Then they came out with the 225hp which made 200hp at the prop which eventually became the 200hp again.
