Does the quad set up remain reliable? I have heard the motors over the open tunnel take too much abuse...What was your experience?

My Quad setup was very reliable, I had small "pods" in the tunnel in front of the center motors. The only real issue with them was that they block air coming through the tunnel. The boat would kinda struggle a bit until it reached 81-82 mph then it would "pop" and run great.

So what performs better the 2.5 or the new xs motors?
