Does anyone know if running 30 percent toulone or maybe some ethonol/methonal through my johnson plastic carbs is going to be ok? Also what is the proper torque sequence and settings for head bolts on one of these engines?

30% 18-22 lbs on my 3.0 200 closed deck. The torque pattern is cast in on a stock cylinder head. Basicly start in the center and work out.

Thanks I have heard that toloune can be hard on plastics, but i am running higher comp so need more octane and seems like a good way to get it.

Toluene I believe is a carcinogenic.
When I had 145 lbs I just splashed a little race gas in to be safe. Another option is Aces, I ran it for a couple of years.
How much compression?

Cheers. Yeah i have heard that about toulene but more the benzo fuel addivitives. I normally run at least 96 octane fuel with two bottles of booster in a 120 litre tank, diffently notice a difference, but its expensive. Also thinking of running ethonal/water injection as an cheaper alternative. Dont no what comp but it must be a lot as the engine now diesels and i have to pull the leads off to shut it down! do you know of an easier way to shut it off, maybe a fuel cut off?
