    Default Best engine builders

Just curious as to who you guys think are at the top of the game when it comes to building race powerheads. I'll start it off with my top five:

    Alex Hledin - F1/Champ

    Chris Fairchild - F2/SST120/140/150

    Dave Bush - Drag/Unlimited

    Al Stoker - Mod-Vp

Marty at Diamond Marine - Offshore

    Default future motors

How about turbo rotary engines, power to weight ratio and power band out perform-2 strokes !

Some Aussie, powered a ski race boat a bravo XR out drive to 140 with a 800 hp rotary.

OMC made some prototypes in the early 70's. Reports were great power but concerns about part throttle and troll

I wouldn't want to reinvent the wheel, but piece together proven packages.

A single engine turbo rotary outboard w/ bravo sport master lower end

drag engines have run the dyno at 1600 plus HP

I will only need 800 just be safe

Very impressive for a XB2003 that weighs a ton. 450hp on pump gas and it is still alive ready for next year. Run a smaller wheel next year Gary.

Hi Jay, got you in my sights. Without major change a fast trim isn't going to happen. I've exhausted my ideas so far that still permit me go back to a stock trim ram.

I had a smaller wheel, the launch was worse in that the boat wanted to go sideways even more after it cavitated and then hooked up.

    Woulda, shoulda, coulda!

Al Stoker ported the first SackOCats. It was great until it decided to commit suicide.

I just wanted to throw out a congratulations to Dr. Alex Hledin and PTR Engines for winning the F1 World Title with Sam Selio and the Mad Crocs team, as well as his US Championship title in Champ with Sean Torrente earlier this year!

Looks like Alex Hledin is # 1 Based on the F1 this year. This would be a good choice of SKATER POWER All in the family.
