    Default Correct Prop

Probably not the best forum for this question since not really a performance boat but I am am new to OBs, not new here. I just got a Zodiac F470 with a Evinrude commercial 55 hp motor, wondering if anyone has thoughts on the best prop for all around use. We tow the little ones on knee boards etc. and also haul scuba tanks and divers. Thanks in advance.

to do it right, you need to borrow a tachometer if you dont already have one and
follow the manufactures recommendation for full throttle with the same load you will be at when diving or skiing
to much pitch is just as bad as to little
I have a friend with a 13' Zodiac w/40hp merc and they usually use low pitches around 13"

    Default Thanks

I will look into a tach and the mfg. specs. Maybe I should turn it into a v-drive
