I was reading a thread recently about getting more out of a stock 454, 330 hp motor. I have a low hour 1989 year of this carb set up. Some of the suggestions were heads, can and exhaust. This ran upwards of 6k and beyond.
I think it'd be fun to have the grin factor and occasionally run 60+ mph.
Any thoughts on this route?
