    Default Open Bow Cats

I'm in the market for a open bow Cat. The more I shop the more indecisive I get. Any suggestions?

If you want a cat and you want to take people (hence open bow), just look at deck boats. Mid-cuddy open-bow cats don't work well, since the floor is raised (tunnel) in the middle. Thus, there is only room for a child to use said mid-cuddy.

Additionally, a deck boat is not looked at by insurance as a regular cat. Probably $800/year as opposed to $3000/year for a regular cat.

In all fairness, I should not have generalized. A cat/tunnel bottom with freeboard on the low side will not have much room underneath. Taller boats should have a decent amount.

A true performance boat should not have a hole cut out in the front of it. As stated above - Look at deck boats!

Agreed. Hard deck on a cat, open bows for vee bottoms.
I'd seriously look at that Lavey in the spam section before I'd look anywhere else. That boat is the steal of the month.
