the b1 already is good for 600 hp and a 100 mph max i personally think just taking all the cast gears out and replacing them with hardend steel ones would be best contact teague custom marine in valencia they can point you in the right direction. i would just jump to the nxt if you can swing it

I believe the B1 is only rated for 500hp or less. A set of XR gears alone will run about $1600. My guess is that it will cost around $3000-$3500 or so the have the drive built. Talk to Max Machine Works (MMW) in Havi. They build some of the very best Bravos out there.

To properly upgrade a Bravo I to all XR parts is pretty expensive. LIke DMOORE said the upper gears alone will be at least $1600.00, gears for the lower are around $850.00. You will need all three shafts, the housing will have to be machined for a steel tower. You will need to upgrade the top cap to the XR or Imco style. Complete new input shaft and u-joint assy, etc etc. Basically the only thing you will re-use is the cases. Parts and labor can easily be over $6000.00.

Damn, I guess I was a bit lite on the cost nowadays. I forgot about all the shafts. It might be worth searching for a good deal on an XR, and then sell the B1???
