    Default #6 drive

    what size prop nut is on #6drive? what should it be torqued down to and should any type of grease be used on the shaft or nut? thanks for any info or tips

    Thread should be 1 1/4"-12 and it takes a 1 7/16" socket/wrench. A little grease is always a good idea Mercury reccommends anti-corrosion grease and the torque is 100 ft#s if I remember correctly. Good luck
