    Default Impact or Stress Crack

My question is I noticed these crack on the hull in the pad area. I am quite positive I didn't hit anything manufacture says it is due to impact. There is no signs impact however is it possible you can do this damage without knowing? Boat is 2007 bass boat with 150hp Area where it is cracked is first point of contact with the water on plane
    Thanks Chris

I am not an expert, but I am sure that it is like a weld, if done properly it will be stronger than original.

could be just the gel coat that is cracked, or it could be deeper, best case is its just the gel, worse case to repair it you will have to grind out the cracks and reglass it.

Chris , i have seen this type of damage more then once ,and if you do not try to repair the area of concern you just might end up with more damage in the long wrong because water can and will wick into the crack depending on how bad it actually is ,and maybe cause delamination down the road , and to the core if any , ect . Chris , just curious do you know anyone else that owns a rig like yours ,and if so...... you just might want to take a look at there boat because sometimes when a boat is being designed, and looks good on paper that is not always the case or should i say poor engineering , and could you maybe post a better pic of the strake . just my 2 cents .

    Default stress

It's also the first point of contact with the beach, if you ever beach it. X2 on geting it repaired. Water will seep in there, and the pressure while running could peel that back. Speaking from experiance.
