boat cap inside bonding??
as i inspect the jet boat i currently have it seems the cap is only fastened to the hull around the outside under the rub rails. when weight is applied to the sides there is a slight flex of the inner cap towards the floor. i noticed this when a friend set the full cooler on the side to step up the trailer and put it in the boat. if i would add a sheet of glassed over wood from the inside lip of the cap to the hull floor, mostly for a speaker placement and storage of small things like glasses and keys, would this strengthen my cap or would it make it to rigid and then with flex, crack apart?
being a 17 foot regatta, storage isnt largely available and any small spaces i can recover will help keep trips organized
your thougts please
