Basecoat problems under clear
First paint project, it's a base white with colored graphics. I went to clear and once I sprayed the first coat I noticed grease/smudge marks, patches of colored overspray on the white areas and a few tape lines became very noticeable. I looked over the whole boat before I sprayed and I thought it was clean (guess I was in too much of a hurry).
How do I go about fixing these areas? Obviously I need to shoot more base but what's the best way to prep and everything in order to touch up the white base areas that need it and then respray the clear?
im new to painting so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
The tape lines look like the fine line dug into the base

I saw your post over on the other forum asking about the paint problems with the boat . The pics that you posted over there do not really show the problem areas though . Is there any chance you could post some closer pics of where the baad spots are ? Also , what kind of material are you working with ? Is it metallic paints ?
