Default closed to retractable open bow

My imagination is 10x better than any skills I have, but why couldn't say a 26 Daytona closed deck be abominized (I'm sure in many opinions) by installing a retractable open bow, where you cut open a much smaller than standard drop-in bow section, and cut the cut-out down the middle, install scissor hinges of some kind, and rig up light-weight removable seats/benches. When you don't need an open bow, you remove the benches/seats and close the bow. I know, way more trouble and expense than its likely worth; just wondering if can or has been done.

why not do it like the blue and silver Ilmor dcb31 with a removable panel? build the seat light and leave them in, pop the panel when you want it open. no pic of it open but, Pre-Owned DCB Performance Boats | Used DCB Boats,
    also eliminator did one too.

Ya Mon! Guess that's why you're the professor. Exactly what I'm looking for (except the 20k price tag DCB puts on it). Thanks.
