Default Best place to get fiberglass

Anybody have any recommendations for where to order fiberglass from. I'm replacing the stringers on my bubble deck, trying to find the best price. I've spent a lot of time reading on the forum about replacing them but any advice would be helpful. Nothing has been started yet. Gonna get all the materials before cutting and grinding. Thanks Steve

I use this site. The prices are much better than Fibre Glast and the glass and mat are ALWAYS rolled never folded.

    Default Marine Surplus

I have used large quantities of glass products for past projects and have found a local (to me) supply that is killer and the prices are great. Marine Surplus in Bradenton Fl. (941) 758-3552. They also have a website but I think it would be just as easy to call them, you would want to speak to Tim or Austin, they would both know what is in stock at the moment. This is all surplus material and everything I have ever gotten from them is of the highest grade. I have used mat, woven roving, 1708, 8oz and 6oz finish cloth, also various mixtures of bi-axel and mat. It can be purchased by the yard or a whole roll. Last time I was there they had these small 12" wide rolls of a bi-axel and mat that I think could be very handy. But the best part is their prices are very reasonable. I think it would be worth your time to give them a call.

    Tell them Pat sent you.

    Default US

I had posted some questions about repairing the front of my jet ski on a few sites.
    Here included.
US Composites came up from everyone.
Sounds like they are are highly rated source.
I had a very small job to do so I ended up just picking up some stuff at local West Marine store, but thought US would be my choice if I needed more product.

Fiberglass , Epoxy , Composites, Carbon Fiber - U.S. Composites, Inc.

There are some guys down your way that are into Mandellas they have a web site. Call them and see who they use. I have bought stuff on line and to be honest I would rather spend a couple extra buck and touch what I am getting. Stuff I ordered was crap from a big name place and shipping was stupid expensive. Otherwise call Bergeron up in Mesa, Phil will point you in the right direction.
