Hello, I recently picked up a 1977 Taylor SJ and while doing some work on it, I found the stringer fiberglass delaminating from the transom. It’s just on the outside of the stringer. I can't tell if it's just the top layer or not. I slid a small screwdriver under the fiberglass and it seems solid. It also seems to pass the knock test.
What should I do from here? Can i clean it up and just glass back over it?
Sorry for the bad pic, hard place to photograph.
Thanks in advance
WOW .......yes that really is a bad pic but just curious is there any part of the stringer or stringer's ( area of concern ) that is somewhat blackish ?
Just a quick mention and that is ................you really need to try and post better pics for all to view which in the long run will help us to help you .
