    Default oh nooooo

wow...that is a heart breaker for sure. that deck is beautiful. how did you ever restrain yourself from killing the individual? wish I had the expertise to answer your question. Maybe link this over to the v-drive section. There's a lot of very talented individuals over there that restore these beautiful classics and very helpful as well. I'm sure they would love to help see you through this repair not to mention a ton of sympathy too. Good luck. I look forward to seeing how this gets resolved. Too bad this is a little more than the "magic eraser" can do.

friggin chicken shit, low life thieves. I guess the silver lining here is it wasn't someone you know so you don't have to deal with trying like them again afterwards. I sure hope you can get that fixed in an un-noticable and expeditious manner. I suppose maybe a very talented and patient craftsman could grind the crack open a bit, sand/feather it down to the surface of the wood and back out a couple inches minimum and then rebuild the relieved area with new material (resin I assume) and block it flat and buff or maybe block the whole deck flat and re-shoot the whole deck so it has a complete new coating to tie it all together. I don't know, that's just my silly s.w.a.g. thoughts. Gut wrenching, I feel for ya bud.
