Default because i do not want anymore paint or fiberglass fixes!!

I had the bimini come loose on me at the end of last summer. Scratched up the side of the boat pretty good. I bought these clips pictured. Does it matter which side (front or back of boat) the release is facing? It seems it should be towards the front to me? I had my local boat shop install them when I took her in for annual service last week and didn't look at them until I got home. The release of the pins are facing the rear of the boat and it just appears like they would be stronger if the release pin was in the front, opposite side of the force. Any suggestions before I take her out net weekend? Thanks!

looks pretty tough to me either way. I'm not sure it would be stronger turning it around.... I would think it's more the way you want it to look...if it drives you nuts, turn them around. Google the make model and see what the manufacture recommends. Good luck

Also....you got the wrong hobby if you don't like to repair fiberglass and paint.....seems to be a never ending issue with all of my boats!
