    Default floors

    I have an 88 cole tr2. It has never been rigged. The floors were painted red white like a candy cain. Stringers are not painted. I want to paint the white black and leave the red . What steps / supplies do I need thnks.

    For starters seeing that you are going to need to prep the areas of concern ( surface ) might i suggest purchasing Sand paper , Mask off , Masking tape , 3- M disposable dust mask's , Etc , Etc , and just curious what product are you going to re-paint the floors with ....Duratec..... Imron .....Awlgrip .........or ...............and what are your thoughts as far as appling the paint roll & brush ( tipping ) brush alone , or .............................

    I get the sand paper ect. Was wondering on steps what grit ect. Don't know on paint ect gel or......... If you could call me 916-710-2360 that would be awsome. The boat is beautiful just do not like the way the floors look. There nice just don't like scheme.

    Nobody in there right mind would paint over a natural wood floor IMO. If you like the painted floors that's great. When I see painted floors I think there's a cover up. If it were mine I'd sand all the paint off & inspect it close. Then if your into the painted floors do what you like kolor wise. Again, this is just my opinion. Good luck on whatever you do.
