Well to tell you the truth they do not make 555 U any more and if by chance you find some out there it will actually be old stock .

I have had good results with Imron Industrial Coatings. It is still a Linear Polyurethane and has the durability you are after, but it has a very limited color selection. I think there are only like 16 or 17 colors to choose from. It may be difficult to get because it isn't available to general public. I have been able to get it from a local Paint supply shop, helps if you know someone there. Hope that is what you are after.

From my understanding it really was not made to be sprayed right out of the can even though it was including my self considering I used it for just about everything related to boats even brushing it on in the bilge area , etc , using no thinner what so ever other then activator / hardener . Just a thought why not try Awl grip ................because if you can spray one ( Imron ) you can spray the other due to the fact that they are both very wet paints or maybe give Awl Craft a try ?

Quick mention I think in the near future you will see more and more of the older style paints vanish due to the fact that it is a environmental concern .
