The wet sanding will leave fine scratches that will need to be buffed out, I went from 1500 to 2000 to 2500 and then started buffing. I've been told older eliminators like ours had a clear gel on top of the color. When I first started sanding the water ran off milkey white. When the milkey color stopped or turned to color, I stopped.

Wow H20MOFO those are amazing before and after shots.. There are spots on my boat that look exactly like the white cloudy spots ont he firstpicture you posted..

I've got a bit of renewed enthusiasm on this now!

Just left my brothers house (we're getting my dad's Impalla SS ready for paint, should be saturday morning when I shoot it) so I grabbed a few sheets of my paper from there just to mess with,,, looks like I will be stopping there at lunch tomorrow for the rest of it and sanding may A$$ off for the rest of the week!

If all goes well,, I'll be buffed (at least the top) by Friday night, shoot the car Saturday morning and be on the lake by early afternoon! ! ! !
