    Default Another bulkhead question

Hello, When I bought my Daytona it was missing the section of the front bulkhead in the left sponson, as shown in the picture. The toe bulkhead was removed, and also the gunnel supports.
Here's the problem; The left side of the boat flexes, (no support, when I lay in it to work it sags 1/4") when I add the front bulkhead how do I know that the sponson is even with the other side? I have the hull on a dolly in the garage, but it is not level. The other problem is the left side of the sponson was damaged, and repaired poorly. It appears the boat was driven over/on to something, and where outside vertical edge of the left tunnel meets the sponson was tore threw. So, I am suspect of what's level, and where to measure for a true reading.
    ANY advice is appreciated.
My plans are to repair the front bulkhead, install the toe board, replace the gunnel supports. Then flip the hull and address the issues on the bottom.
Thanks in advance, be safe. schick

    Default Questioin

No just glass. What you see is part of the repair. There is balsa above the tunnel from the stringer out. Here is a picture of it.
Thanks for the reply. Be safe, schick

    Default Balsa?

Hey Offshore, Thanks for the reply. What is the indication of there was balsa in it? It looks like a half hearted attenpt, by someone how really had no idea of what they were doing. I'm not a expert and I will repair it structurly, and cosmeticaly then this. Thanks again for the reply. schick

    Default Information?

    Good morning,
All the brain power out there, and all I hear is crickets......? I'm pretty sure how I going to tackle the leveling and repair, but all suggestions are still welcomed.
The other statement was posted by a fellow member:
"I can tell you right now by the looks of things there was core there and never replaced and in fact it looks like you might have a little de lamination going on along with a structural problem that should be addressed with more beef (glass) and core and not to be rude but what a hack job and all the bare wood".
I'll ask again, and this is to everyone with an opinion. What is the indication there "WAS" core in the sponson? The statement was made, and no supporting information. Kind of makes you wonder about their abilities.

    Thanks, be safe. schick

    Default Core in the bottom?

Well the guy with the sh!t hot resume could not stand the heat in the kitchen, he took his opinion and went home. Thanks for the supporting evidence, I guess it was too much to ask. Thanks for your time anyway.
Anyone else have a picture of what's under core, or can give an indication of why it looks like core was in this sponson? I can post more pictures if it will help.
    Thanks, be safe. schick

Shick take your blade and cut your throat and if you expect some answers to your questions you really need to learn that being rude will not get the answers you want and if you had a brain bigger then a pea and read my last post the answer was right in front of your nose and now that i got your attention mr big mouth you just might want to take your toys and go HOME because people are really not that willing to give out any information if you want to be and act like a bun hole . Shick...... if half the people in the world are below average does that mean you fall in the below average category considering that is what you have written on your sig line? Have a nice day .
