Cracked fiberglass need advice

Hi all I am trying to purchase a boat that has a crack on the top of the bow .The salesman told me not to worry about fixing it as it could not be matched with new paint.My concern is that it will grow bigger and cause structure failure.I will be boating on a big lake with around 3 foot waves and some higher it gets really rough.Thanks for your input.Picture is included.

That is a typical salesman response, just interested in the commission check. that looks to have been hit by something, look at the rub rail in the middle of it and you can see it was hit. i would like to see what is under the rub rail as it may be worse than what you are seeing up top. the cracks should be drilled so they don't run and re-glassed and re-gel coated.
