    Default Tap

I use tap resin/products and they are well worth the money. To give you an idea of how far the resin goes I did the whole cap on my 18' Sanger with only 1 quart of resin.

There are places that will ship it to you for much cheaper than that. Tap is very proud of their stuff.

I'm using West Marines "West System".

Get the metering pumps, it makes measuring the proper ratio and no brainer.

They will ship to your home or you can get it at their stores.

Me too!! I'm a big fan of West System!! It's easy to work with, no smell!!! For one gallon from a store plus hardener you're at $141.00, for the resin and hardener plus tax, pumps are 14 but you only buy them once, they last a while and you can leave them in the cans when not in use, no need to remove to cap the cans!!! Plus tap doesn't have the pump system, soooooo much easier!!!

Vinylester is stronger than Polyester and you can use Duratec for the topcoat with epoxy you can not apply Vinylester or Polyester on top of it.

Can you apply Duratec over epoxy resins? I've never used their products or flowed a floor but had intended to use West System or Epon epoxy resin on my floor project.
    Thanks,

Duratec is Polyester so it's best to apply over Vinylester or Polyester. Epoxy I think is harder to work with and more expensive. Like one of the guy's said fiberglass supply is you’re best bet, they get it to you right away and the price is right.www.fiberglasssupply.com

Hey guy , Epoxy is the only way to go ...which is a product that i have been using for over 40 years now and to tell you the truth why would you even want to use Poly or Vinyl considering there are epoxies out there that will give you a longer pot life ...........which means a longer work time with no stank ! Hey guy ,Duratech makes a primer that is compatible for epoxy which i used at Skater and still use today or should i say is a staple ......when doing fiberglass repair using Epoxy . Hey guy just a quick mention and that being is...............i think there are better places in your area to purchase materials from .
