Default How to find a water leak in the hull

I am having a hard time finding where my 79 Taylor SS is leaking at. It's leaking somewhere under the floor and filling up the bottom of the boat. I have filled the boat up with water and it does not leak out anywhere. I epoxied most everywhere I thought it could possibly let water in but it is still taking on water. Any ideas of how I can get this thing sealed up?

Its probably leaking around the packing glands were the shaft goes through the pump, it will leak much worse while the engine is running or your moving. Just tighten the nut on each side about a 1/2 turn and see if that doesnt help. It will need the packing replaced some day but usually you can just tighten them, good luck, Hass.

Racing is who gets there first, not who gets there on schedule.

if you think its leaking from some hardware like the intake or something, grab your garden hose and start filling it up until it leaks out.

    simple and effective
(GN7)Just a simple waste of perfectly good sour mash. If you need a fuel, use something that will poison you, not something that makes you buzzed.

you both missed the part where he states that he has filled it up and it doesnt run out anywhere. I would check the packing like hass said and maybe your bowl gasket is leaking under a load leaking more water the more throttle u give it?
