    Default eddies pictures

I think i posted my pics, not sure yet but anyway if the pics come up, you can see the stringer, some of those holes were already there, i just drilled into them to see there was rott, I had a shop in arizona tell me that it will cost 2,000.00 to replace both stringers, but it might be more. The other question i had, was ,,, the stringers go up under the bow and there is hardly any room at all under there, how do they replace them under there? I hope they dont have to cut the bow off,,,, I havnt decided if iam going to let them do the work, I want to make sure its done right, plus that seems pretty expensive,, but then again I am new to the boating thing so maybe thats not expensive???/

    Default eddies aqua craft shark

now that I know how to post the pics, i cant stop!!, sorry, these are kinda bad pics to. The boat is a 1971 shark, evrything is good , except the driver side stringer, has some rot that goes about two feet from the transom forward, just befor the motor mount.,, not sure exactly how rotted though? some brown but wood is still strong it seems,,if you poke it with a screw driver where a hol is, it seems strong. The boat has not seen water since 1986!!!!! the stringer got rotted from some exposed holes in the stringer that were never plugged. any thoughts????/ other than selling it????/

so you think this is better than injecting epoxy resin in it?? or would it be beter to replace the stringers? i was told 2,000.00 to replace, not sure if it is worth it?? where can I find that stuff????

check in v-drive section on here and look up the thread -the journey begins it has alot of useful info and you will have to rewrap the stringers in those areas but thats no big deal
