Cork/Balsa Flooring..Decor and not Core.

I have a Mod VP hull and ran across pic's of a flat bottom boat with what looked like 2x2 inch Cork for flooring between the stringers.

It was exposed and finished in a matte clear. What is the stuff and where can it be found?

its called 2X2 edn cut balsa, its avail. in 2'X4'X1/4" or 1/2" sheets, Sherfab is where I have always bought mine from, but I believe there are other places to aquire it also!
Sherfab unlimited is in Ontario Ca, the # is on my phone and for whatever reason, its not with me at the moment.
