    Default worst water spots ever

last weekend i got caught in rain on the way home , was runnin late so i just put boat in garage and went on merry way . usually do the wipe down but was late to family gathering .
finall get back to boat 2 days later covered in water spots so i wash her and alot washes away but after i chamois it i have some real bad ones nuthin seems to work on these and some of them are ruff like gritty . Is there a product that i should use to remove these and something to prevent this from happening again . I have had this happen before but they always dissappeared after wipe down .

There are lots of good polishes and products available that can remove water marks. Chamois isn't going to cut it.

See the following link from Meguiars Online.

    How To Remove Water Spots

Polish has always worked for me. Also Meguiars quick detailer with Clay Bar is a fantastic product.

    Good luck!

Boat Bling Hot Sauce, and Performance Boat Candy are both good products, although they can get expensive over time. We've used Hot Sauce since our boat was new in '07, and people still ask if we just took delivery.

    x2 Hot Sauce

McQuires Oxidation Remover works great. Shop Detailers use it.

GEL COAT CLEAN: HEAVY DUTY OXIDATION REMOVER: Meguiar's Marine/RV

    Good Luck!

Consider yourself lucky i would rather drip gas on mine than water from the garden hose in havasu.....the water will even etch wax.

none of the above has worked I think somehow they got beneath the clear .
some of them actually got together and formed a huge water spot .
boat now looks like poop . cant understand how leaving water on it a few days ruins
a surface ! But i will never do it again

Has the boat been newly painted???? I have had good luck if it's an auto paint with Eurotech polishes and wax's... SOunds like you got hit with some acid rain... Normal water spots can/should be removed pretty easy...

All the products previously mentioned are good but not made for the real bad spots IMO. I found West Marines H2O Spot remover to be the best for the real bad spots. If the spots remain you could have a bad batch of clear coat. I know several boats made mid to late 06 got a bad batch of clear coat and had to be redone. A good fiberglass repairer can tell you.
