496 with all forged internals by eagle 4.25 lightened crank 6.385 H beam rods with L-19 bolts, JE 4.310 forged pistons 10.2-1 compression with 119cc chambers. ARP studs in the bottom end. Milodon 10 qt jet oil pan, Cloyes hex adjust billet timing set and cover, total seal rings setup for n20 melling select oil pump.. block is 2 bolt gen 4 when this engine was together it made 710 hp @ 6100 and 662.3 ft/tq @5100 all on 91 octane pump gas was ran on the dyno and 1 hr on the lake tops

also comes with SFI 7" balancer and flexplate

Just as strong if not stronger than a 4 bolt. Not really an issue at that H.P. range. The webing on the 2 bolt is alot thicker than the 4 bolt.
That would be a good bottom end for that southwind....

yep it really is

I know of a few people on here running injected blower motors that are 2 bolt been running for many seasons. how many cranks you seen fall out the bottom end because the mains break? its most likley something else that fails before the caps push out..

I have one with a 6-71 and 2, 850's running just fine, however the last one we used a 2 bolt block and did a 4 bolt conversion, so it would be a real stout deal.

With 50 lbs of boost you can make it do all kinds of things it doesn't want to do.
