    Default WANTED: BASSETT beach cruiser!

Ok, this may be a shot in the dark...

We all know Bassett from their headers and even waterskis, but from around 1978 to 1983 Bassett made bikes. They made 20" & 24" bmx bikes but they also made a 26" beach cruiser style bike called the Star Cruiser. I've been looking for one of these cruisers for years, they rarely show up for sale and when they do the bmx collectors gobble em up.

I'm wondering if any of the boat guys happen to have or know of one sitting around somewhere. Or maybe you could keep your eyes n' ears out for me? Thanks fellas!

Here's some photos of what I'm talkin' about...

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"

    Thanks mouzer!

I'd actually kinda prefer just a frame so I can build it myself. Lastnight I went and looked at the one you found. It's super clean but the owner won't come down on the price at all.

Yeah kind of. BMX collectors like em. I know of 2 right now, a complete bike and a re-powdered frame and both are pricey...

But there's always garage sale/barn finds.

I went and looked at that one. It doesn't have the welded Bassett badge and the geometry is different. The ad says "best offer" but the price is firm.
