Default Construction in Vegas picking up a little

Driving home last night I noticed two new homes being built in our area of Vegas. It's the first residential construction I have noticed being built since 2007. Hope this is a continual sign of positive growth.

Has anyone else noticed this in their neck of the woods?

For almost two years they have been building new homes to order and many new apartments off of Losse Road in North Vegas. I own rental houses near this area and it is all because the new VA hospital is opening this year.  They will have 4,400 employees ! This area is home to about half of the serviceman/women at Nellis.  See my ad for in PB for this 3,280 sq ft for rent this week only on a PB board member

I rented another recenty to a PB board member all in gated communities.

HUGE VEGAS HUGE FOR RENT, 3 car garage: $1,600 month, super nice kitchen, this week only, then++ :Las Vegas House for rent, 3,280 3 car garage!

We have 11 new homes going right now, and 8 more to start in the next 4 months. All new contracts.

In 2009 and 2010 we did a grand total of 2 new homes.

In 2006 we did 97, and in 2007 we did 75

So Yes, Were seeing a definite improvement. Finally.
I'd agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

Like I have said in the past. Money flows in an election year, does not matter which party is in office. . If we have continued growth for of over 4% for two years I will start thinking that thing are turning around, but as of now I don't see this happening.
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

Several friends just moved back and they have about 20 months of construction work, with some prospects beyond that.

Vegas is turning around. Look at downtown, alot of $$ going in, and look at the $$ the downtown houses are getting and selling in a week. Friends at casinos are all back to work, and casinos/hotels are all undergoing renovations, floor by floor as no new places are going up, so they need to keep things looking good to keep clients. About 16 months ago LV area had something like 22,500 properties on the market, today, 6,000, maybe. values in many areas have stablized and creeping up due to lack of inventory. just my observation.

Actually, it's in spite of all he's done, America refuses to be kicked to the curb. We can survive even him, it appears. I'm starting to see an increase in activity here in Arizona as well selling land and prices are climbing nicely despite the moron in chief. He certainly has done nothing to warrant economic improvement unless NOT spending another couple trillion lately counts.

I can confirm this although there are new bars and restaurants going up. At least in existing casinos. I provide that kind of equipment to most of Las Vegas. Vegas fell off a LOT since 2007. For us that market is booming once again. I am having trouble keeping up with the sudden rise in demand out that way. But I'm lovin it

A friend from college owns an office furniture company that specializes in drafting tables. His business is up 70% the first quarter of this year. He has been at it for over 20 years, looks like he's turned the corner.
