    Dick had such an influence on the music industry that the records he played on American BandStand would go to the top of the charts the following week.

    I can think of no other TV personality that appealed to all generations. He was truly a household name.

    It was sad to see him stumble on the countdown on New Years Rockin Eve. But he was such a trooper and wanted to stay involved.

    My first 2 jobs in LA were at Dick Clark Productions and Don Cornelius Productions. I learned a lot, may they both Rest In Peace...
