    Hello all.

Glad to have joined. Looking forward to meeting any of you along my travels and learn more about power boating. Bought my first power boat. 1995 scarab 22 with a 496 stroker motor.

Cool, welcome! Those 22's are built like tanks and I like the 496 stroker; I have one waiting to be dropped into my boat.

Thanks all. I have been working on the boat for a little bit. Bought it just over a month ago. Merlin heads, ported/polished. Hardin mufflers (open exhaust now).

am replacing a couple small pieces of wood decking to the left/right of the motor. the access plates were not sealed well and have small amount of rot so the work begins to replace that and be on the water. Also doing a dual battery set up with group 31 batteries and a complete sound system.

Enjoy spending money and working on it for years to come. You will meet some of the best people on the planet while boating. Oh I can't wait until it's not fast enough for you. Just part of owning a boat...
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists
