I've stayed there in an RV several times. A buddy of mine has a mobile in there too. From what I've noticed- many of the rentals are a lil run down and could use some tlc.

The one other thing that sucks is that you can't just call the office and check for availability. You have to call each individual owner which can be a pain in the ass.

I think the Islander is a much better park. Have you ever launched from the Beachcomber? It it's the worst launch ramp on that lake. The set up of where the docks or courtesy beach are is dumb. Basically if your the only one that can back up the trailer and launch the boat, it's gonna suck. So the launch ramp alone makes it worth it. I have a mobile booked their for Memorial. They are really easy to deal with.

If the water is up launching is easy. You are right there is no courtesy docks. You have to take your truck and trailer back to your spot my wife usually picks me up at the docks.. You can call the Beach Comber they do own rentals weather it's in the mobile home section or the park model section.
Not as nice as the Islander but a little more laid back.

We stayed there for a summer a few years ago in the RV. I believe the rentals are more a monthly type dealio. The park is decent shape and rangers are a little more laid back with the rules. If you boat is under 24' then you can get a free slip although the cove the slips are in are not very well protect from boat wakes, you'll need good bumpers and cross tie your boat. No store. The ramp is a little funky but not heavily used - if the water level is low you can go next door to site 6. Islander is a better choice.
