A few years ago I compared some reports on Perris & Elsinore. Pretty sure they were published by the MWD. They confirmed what I knew already -Perris is foul. To make matters worse, the Rangers dont want you there.

Why would the Rangers not want you there?

Not that bad Tony. Better than its been in years. Most people go the cove at the south end of the lake. Other than that, you can go to the city beach on the east side.

Surprisingly the water is still a little chilly, yesterday we were out with friends and they were like burrrr (I am used to it) then I noticed all along the shore mostly only kids were in the water. Weather was perfect (84) for horseshoes and beer should be about the same today.

We had a good time at Perris...will def go back for more...

When we came over the hill through the back entrance at 7am, the whole lake was fogged over You could not see past the no-wake bouys at the launch and they mandated 5mph and running lights. Finally could see the island/dam around 8:30.

    Everybody caught fish...'cept the captain...

Went out for the day yesterday and it turned out nice. Water was much better looking compared to what I have seen in the past. I saw the new Launch ramp, looks just about done and looks like it turned out pretty nice.

Ramp is scheduled to be completed June 20 (soft opening). They are supposed to make the campgrounds more friendly to large RV as it is considered more of a tent site, although I like the old school sites they already have not the condo camping you see in more modern camp grounds.
