Default "Snow White and the Huntsman"

    Anybody else seen it?

A coworker and I went yesterday, not really a fan of "fantasy" movies, but I thought it was thoroughly entertaining.

We did have a slight intermission, a guy a few rows back went into full seizures and they stopped the movie while the ambulance guys came and hauled him away.
It was kind of scary, but he seemed to "come to" after a few minutes and was responsive when they rolled him out.

Anyway, the movie seemed better than a lot of the crap being sold these days.

Of course, watching Kristen Stewart for 2+ hours is never REALLY a bad thing!!

It was Lord of the Rings meets Braveheart. Lots of ideas borrowed from better movies. I am SO done with that thing where a magical person "sucks the lifeforce" out of someone else's mouth (a la Green Mile and Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Please, show us a new trick.

Unfortunately, the film showcases the limitations of Kristen Stewart's acting abilities. She was decent in the original Twilight (reminding me of Ally Sheedy in her heyday), but in this movie she seems totally wrong for the role. Fairer than Charlize Theron? Maybe in her dreams...!

Oh yeah, and where was Bashful?! He was prominently featured in the poster....

Have to agree on both counts, movie was entertaining and worth the time and money...tired of going to see movies and not just wanting my cash back but also the two hours of my life!! Kristen is nice to look at but she had all the same expressions and tones that she did the the twilight series...might be all she wrote unless she pulls a brad pitt and really learns the trade.

I also agree with both of the reviews above.

But like mentioned at least it didn't leave me feeling "robbed".
( I was also counting the dwarfs and it seems that there were 8 before one got "offed', and brought the count down to 7 where it was supposed to be)

By contrast, I watched "Gone" on DVD yesterday and I want my money back.

I never watched the twilight series, so Kristen was sort of a new deal for Me.

WHERE is the "Departed" of today?

Haven't seen the movie, so I can't comment on too much. But...Kristen Stewart in general could easily be replaced by a mop with googly eyes. IMO she could be one of the worst actresses...ever.

That said - I have seen enough to know that Charlize > Kristen any day of the week.

If it flies, floats, or fornicates you are bound to have trouble with it.
