    Default High School Graduation

I need some input on a high school graduation gift for my son.

He is 18 and is a good kid. His grades are good, about a 3.3 grade point average, he is smart enough to do better, but not motivated. He will be attending the University of Nevada Reno for college in August. He was captain of the snowboard team. He has his own car and works summers as a lifeguard and winters at a local ski resort.

    Thoughts????

sounds like his interests are water and snow. something geared towards that would be cool. maybe a new board or a season pass to his favorite boarding mountain. take he and his buddies out on the lake for a weekend of water fun and high speed skiing/wake boarding as part of the package

    Realistic price range?

We have a jetski and motorcycles to play with.

We live on a lake so he and his friends have the use of several different boats for water sports pretty much any day they want.

Realistic price range is $1000 or less.

Is cash a good idea or should I get an actual gift?

Take him on a trip.. he can bring one friend.

We took each of our kids to our Timeshare in cabo for a week when they graduated. They could bring a friend. Each of ours loved it. Plus, Mom and dad get to have a good time as well
I'd agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

    Rich,
Give him the cash and let him use it however he wants,
Or you could hand over the keys to the Sanger.
    How have you been?

    Hi Dave.

He has the keys for both Sangers pretty much any time.

Things are going well here. Long time no see. How are things for you?

    I'd say a cruise.

My parents took me on one for graduation...I had a blast and so did they. Plus, with a cruise you can spend as much or as little time together as you want...

    Just a thought

We took he and two of his friend to Kauai for high school graduation. We paid for a trip to NYC/Jersey to see an old girl friend for his college graduation.

Probably a season pass to some of the mountains up here. I would look at Northstar. They are owned by Vail Resorts so if you buy one you get all of Vail properties which here is Northstar, Kirkwood & Heavenly. It would also include the Utah properties.
