Some truly beautiful lakes! Here are a few of my personal favorites. Jackson lake, Grand Tetons; Redfish lake, Idaho; Maroon lake, Colorado; and Manzanita lake, Lassen NP.

Its great to see Crater, Lake Tahoe, Chelan all mentioned, they are some of the most beautiful. Im assuming all "Natural" only lakes have been included here?....

    Echo Lake - Colorado

    Grand Lake - Colorado

Twin Lakes - Colorado (view of Mt. Hope)

There are many man-made lakes that have just as much beauty and Im sure they never could have conceived that in their original engineering of them... so it was mostly by accident.... My favorite is Lake Shasta and Whiskeytown.

This is Twin Lakes in Montana. You're not getting here by any easy stretch of road.

LAKE CHELAN...One of the best days of my life was sitting at the end of the fuel dock at Stehekin with a good cup of coffee while the sun came up, Just knew it was going to be a stellar day.
