Ever heard of Hallett, Howard, Dana, Essex, Nordic etc. Why draw the line with just a few?

Not a fan of the Hallet looks (too much $$ also). Howard is out of my price range. Dana is just too small in 23' + want a more well known brand for resale, I would consider Essex and a Nordic. I've been in the game for a while. I'm pretty familiar with most boats/models.

Bravo x drive, drive shower, Teague sea strainer, and 24 pitch and 26 pitch prop. Mounted Honda 2000 generator, 3 stage 30 amp guest marine charger, and 3 brand new optima blue top batteries with billet battery holders with battery switch. Alpine head unit, 3 digital alpine amps, 1 JL audio digital amp, 2 12" JL audio w6 subwoofers, 2 10" alpine marine subs, 8 8" alpine marine coaxial speakers, 2 6 1/2" alpine marine coaxial speakers and 2 JL audio 8" marine components. Cuddy cabin can be set up with either bench seats or custom cooler configuration. I have the brand new livorsi off shore controls and the original gaffrig offshore controls. Platinum auto meter marine gauges and matching steering wheel. Boat sits on a extreme tandem axel trailer with current rims including matching spare or have original chrome rims as well and all clear LED lights

that makes me laugh when you say brand name, bet you wouldnt buy a laser cause of name, and they are built. sold etc by essex in the same building by the same people without the essex name and price tag,, yes i have a 24 laser midcuddy open bow with a 496 mag and would not hesitate to match it build for build and performance for performance to any toher manufacturing in the same excat size and power...

i understand you may not like certain nlooks etc of some models which is understandable....jusmy .01 is all godd luck in your search.

You're buying it used, not new. There's a saying that you don't make the money on how much you sell something for but how much you buy it for. Resale on a used purchase is all about the price that you purchase it for. Price the lesser well known brands accordingly and you'll have good resale value when it's time to sell.
Don't argue with idiots....they'll just bring you down to their level then beat you with experience!

To be 100% honest, I'm so partial to Ultra as I grew up wanting one as I only lived a few miles from the El Cajon shop. I have searched for Laser (Saw a nice 24 or 25 for 35k), Lightning, Essex, Cheetah, etc. Basically every custom manuf. I can think of. I owned a Lightging before and ahd to basically give it away as not many peeps usually search for them although they may like them. Why dont you do some drugs tonight, then take my 35k for your boat!

ultra did or does build a great boat imo. (not trying to stir the pot, jus dont know the status of them is all)..you like what you like and nothing wrong with that...i looked at lighting and cheetah and would not put them in the laser category for me..i did alot of research before i bought mine..i agree that name is helpul when selling. but if a guy wants best bang for his buck, sometimes name isnt always right, excluding some like dcb or elim, etc etc..oh and 35k ha ha u so funny i would sink it before i sold at that price..you know one day someone will pay me for taking care of my shit, until then it dont cost me a dime to own it. ok maybe a couple pennies..lol.

again good luck and i hope ypou get what your looking for at your price..
