Hey folks,
I thought I had the year right for my old Biese but a few days ago someone sent me these (copies of copies of copies),
Instead of it being a 1963 like I was told it now appears to be a 1959 but I would like to confirm this with a clear copy of the article if possible.
Anyone have one or know where I can find a copy?
Hey Brett,
Sorry I don't have a month but it was the copy that gave a, "chronologicall history of the early Biesemeyer Hydros that were documented and printed for the 2003 Hot Boat Hall of Fame"
OK, this isn't exactly what you want to hear, unfortunately, but it's all the info I can give you. The 2003 issue of Hot Boat you're referring to is the September 2003 edition where we ran the Hall of Fame article on Rusty. (You can see a modified version of it in the first image you posted, which shows the "Master Hull Designer" headline and the photo of Rusty.) Unfortunately, it's just a one-page article and it does not include any of the other clippings from the collage that's represented in your images, evidently assembled by Conrad Murphy. So...bottom line, I don't think you're really looking for a 2003 issue of Hot Boat; you're looking for an older issue or possibly a different magazine altogether.
I do recall getting a look at Murphy's treasure trove of collected photos and articles many years ago. I believe he lent me a copy back in the Hot Boat days. It was really cool.
Get ahold of Sharp Shooter (Jerry Griffen) here on the boards. He has or has access to 'the Biesemeyer Bible' and should be able to answer your questions.
