We've had a bunch of tubes over the years.

HO products have generally held up the best. On just about anything, they last for about a season. Once they start leaking-- forget about it. Patches never hold for long. Our stuff gets a lot of use/hours.

Our experience was the bigger the more likely to break. 4 seaters being the worst. Just too many seams/places to leak, I guess.

kids prefer the "sit" on type, with backrests etc. but the rides can go forever because they don't get tired. You can always dump them when you get bored, but little ones don't dig that much.. and the crowded tubes have a tendency to have "melon clunks" when dumping everyone at once (that doesn't make mommas happy)..

My kids are getting older (9-12) and I just went back to a lay down style this season (HO). Seems to be holding up real well, and the rides are shorter cause the kids are getting a great work out trying to hang on (I like that).. Only down side I see on the lay down style is the kids are getting rug rash on their elbows and knees.. Doesn't seem to bug them much. They still want 3-4 rides a day.
Is it just me or are toilet seats getting smaller?

You cant really haul ass pulling a tube or should I say its not a good idea. Remember, 20 mph on the water in a tube for young kids is pretty fast and I doubt they would even be able to hold on.

I would recommend the O'brien Super Screamer. I've had two in ten years.

The tube is flat and "fast" but you can also put two people (not just kids) on the tube at a time. IMHO it has held up well and is a great product.

Best price I found last season was on Amazon, plus free two day shipping is always good
You tell them I'm coming and hell's coming with me...

I have a HO Molecule, big ass tube that the kids love. The riding platform sits off the water, so not as rough on the body.
