We paid $3.30 in Havasu for fuel this weekend. I havent noticed anyone complaining. Is $3.50 a gallon acceptable or the New Norm?

The price of fuel/diesel...still sucks, as it rises yet again.
    The price of "gas"...sucks too.

Probably because the culture changed and people go less often?

I was a little grumpy after filling up the Formula and Cig on the same day, ( of course they both were almost empty ) but a nice run made it all worth while.

Havasu and Windsor Launch ramp were pretty busy. There may be less people boating elsewhere but Lake Havasu was
    80% full tilt.

Although the channel seemed less busy but I figured that was because everyone was out on the water.

Back in the day when I was a kid (90s) people went every(other) weekend. The population of boaters seemed much lower. These days it seems more boater population but less individual trips. I'm not doubting the capacity.

I want it like it was 30 years ago when my beer cost more than my boat gas.

    Looks like their plan worked
People bitched about $3 a gallon
So they raised the price to over 4
Now we think $3 looks great

Yeah, sadly I am now happy with sub $3.50 for premium..but I didn't get into boating because it was cheap.. $3.50 a gallon is still a heck of a lot cheaper than going to jail for speeding on the roads..

Well considering it wouldn't do any good anyway But compared to the $3.80 it was in May I'll take the $.50 cut for what its worth. Definitely prefer the $2.41 it was last summer

Havasu was plenty busy fri/sat but what you don't see is the runs up/down the lake all day long just for the hell of it.
I predicted high gas prices would hit us when I built my boat in late 03. Being the first boat to a destination was not my priority, so I got the 6.2 and it'll go many trips before I have to refill it. Two week long trips and I still have two tanks with 1/4 each still left.
I love my wife, my wife loves me! What a great world!
