Boat Liquidation Sale On The Way

Definitely a sign of the times. Just heard that Southern California boat dealers and manufacturers will be holding a giant Boat Liquidation and Accessories Sale at the Rose Bowl parking lot on Saturday and Sunday, August 16-17. This is for both new and used boats plus any kind of boating accessory product. It's going to be a boat swap meet for the dealers and manufacturers to unload a lot of inventory that's backed-up over the past year. Should be some good bargains, especially on Sunday afternoon. Hours are 9am to 6pm on Saturday, 9am to 5pm on Sunday. Admission and parking are both free to the public.

if so ...............what about all the custom manufactures in Havi. Has production there slowed down?

Boat production and sales this year are way below 2006 and 2007 levels all across the country -- SoCal, Havasu, Florida, etc., etc., etc. -- it doesn't make much difference except this time the Southwest seems to be harder hit than the rest of the country. The problem is, it's time for dealers to start taking new 2009 models, and unsold 2007s and 2008s are still sitting at the dealerships and manufacturers. The inventory back-up isn't pretty. It's going to take awhile to flush these excess models through the market. If the exhibitors at the Boat Liquidation Sale are smart, they'll sacrifice as much profit as they can just to move product and get out from under the flooring costs. If they don't sell by Labor Day, chances are they'll be still around after New Years!

They didn't tell them about it because if Magic goes, there wouldn't be any room left in the rose Bowl parking lot for the other manufactures.

Magic does not need to worry about liquidating their inventory. They, the company, are not going anywhere...More money than god behind that business...
