Default Very Low Cost Phone Service

Installed today a "Magic Jack" available on line. Must have DSL for it to work. I paid $39.00 for one year unlimited phone charges. Upgrade for an additional $49 for an additional 5 years. Wife is talking to Canada as I write. Very clear sound. If I replace my MCI service I can save $80 per month. I have a seperate line for my computer DSL.

$.02 a minute for international calls besides Canada.

OK, let's say I try this. I sign up and get phone service.

I currently have Verizon as my phone and DSL provider. Since I need to keep DSL, does that mean I have to keep Verizon? And don't I need a phone line thru them to keep my DSL?

So it wouldn't save me anything if I have to keep Verizon, and it would end up costing me more.

Or am I not getting it?

    Default Phone Service

I have AT & T for modem phone service & DSL this costs approx $50 per month. I also have MCI for my regular phone service approx $80 per month.

I installed the "Magic Jack" to my computer USB port. I then plugged in my wireless house phone into the jack. You could call me right now At 951-402-4936 which is a Magic Jack provided #

If this all works out I may cancel MCI

We got it too, it seems to work pretty bitchin. It's USB based so your computer has to be booted up and running to make or recieve calls.

    Check out Skype: http://www.skype.com/

It can be used from anywhere you have a computer and an internet hookup. My neighbor in Havasu told me alot of his canadian friends use it when they travel and at home. He got it and is totally sold on the service.
